We were delighted that our friends, Dr. Tim and Angie Levendusky, came for a visit this week. We were so happy to get to see them again and we had a wonderful time together! They live in Mongolia and South Korea, working for the IBLP ministry, so the last time we saw them was four and a half years ago ~ just a few days after they were married.

Selmer Christmas Parade
Last night we went to the Selmer Christmas parade.
It was misting during the parade, so most of the pictures have spots on them. :(
This car was made famous by former McNairy County Sheriff, Buford Pusser.
Some of us enjoyed riding in the parade with Vance and Ashley Dennis.

Decorating the Christmas Tree
Do you worship the Babe in the manger,
But reject the Christ of the Cross?
Your redemption comes not by the manger,
But the death of Christ on the Cross.
If you worship the Babe in the manger,
But ignore the blood of God’s Son,
To you Christ is only a stranger,
'Til you trust the work He has done.
The Babe in the manger was God’s only Son,
Who came to the earth to die.
The Babe in the manger could never have done
The work of His God on high.
The Babe left the manger and went to the Cross
To pay the wages of sin.
The way to forgiveness is not by the Babe,
But the Christ who died for your sin.
Will you look past the babe in the manger,
Will you look to Calvary?
Oh, my friend, can't you see the danger
Of a lost eternity?
The Babe in the manger was God’s only Son,
Who came to the earth to die.
The Babe in the manger could never have done
The work of His God on high.
The Babe left the manger and went to the Cross
To pay the wages of sin.
Your way of forgiveness is not by the Babe,
But the Christ who died for your sin.

The Little Drummer Boy
When we were little we loved to record ourselves reading books, singing, making up stories, and anything else that we could come up with. It must run in the family, because we have tapes of our grandmother and cousins from the 70's and 80's, and tapes that Mama made for our grandmother when we lived away.
Recently we had fun listening to some of the old tapes, and came across this one from several Christmases ago. We thought it was so funny that we decided to post it!
Leave a comment and try to guess which of the 11 Smiths are singing. Hint: there are 5 singers, each singing one part of each verse.

Fun With Friends!
Tia's son, Brad, and his family came to Selmer for Thanksgiving, and we had fun spending time with them on Saturday!
Going to the creek
The soy beans in our fields have just been harvested. In this picture we are eating some of the soy beans that got left behind.
There is hardly any water in the creek right now
