Last night David set the trap near the pond. Something killed his last duck and he wanted to make sure that nothing got the geese. When he checked the trap this morning there was an opossum in it!
It hissed at us when we got close.
Later when he looked at it this is what he saw!
There were about 7 babies that had come out of her pouch!
We felt sorry for it and decided to let it go. Most of the babies got back in the pouch in time, but one was still hanging on as she ran away! :)

Our Church Picnic

Yesterday our church had a picnic at our house.
Daddy, Mr. Poole, and Mr. Kirk grill the hamburgers and hot dogs. Duck-Duck-Goose Nathan and Ryan Amanda, Ryan, and Anna The children enjoyed running races... ... and three-legged races.Laura and Ariana try to catch the aerobie. Dinner time! Anna likes cupcakes! Several of the families brought homemade ice cream. Nathan shares his ice cream with his little brother. Yum!The guys played football......while the younger children had an obstacle course relay. They started by crawling through a tire... ...then carried a water balloon on a long spoon. The younger ones were allowed to hold the balloon while they raced. :) Hopping across these logs was also part of the obstacle course. Maddie, Deborah, and Bethany watch the race. A water balloon toss The water balloons were a favorite among the children. The temperature was in the upper 90's. Baseball
