The Conference

In the vendor hall there were so many wonderful resources!
Families and church leaders gathered from all over the U.S. and from several other countries.
Scott Brown, the Director of the NCFIC, and conference host
Doug Phillips brings a message entitled "The Defining Battles in the War Against the Sufficiency of Scripture"
Ken Ham (founder of Answers in Genesis and the Creation Museum) speaking on Genesis.
We loved this slide in his power point presentation showing how ridiculous the "localized flood" theory is.
It was a blessing to fellowship with other families attending the conference.
Visiting with the Kirks, friends from our church.
Anna and Deborah with some of the Pletans, a family we met this week.
Voddie Baucham is one of our favorite speakers. We were excited to be able to hear him this week. This message was on "Biblical Manhood and Womanhood".
Singing
The days were very full and it was not unusual to see young children napping wherever they could find a spot.
Daddy and Mr. Borowski
It was so fun to see our friends, the Bradricks, after about 18 years!
Talking to Amy Ellen.
Visiting with Emily Bradrick and 2 of her precious children
This is Thomas. He was so smiley!
Briana Borowski and Sarah
Visiting in the vendor hall
Paul Washer at the Heart Cry booth
Some of the Baucham family
One of the breakout sessions. For each breakout session, we had to choose from 5 different topics/speakers . . . a difficult decision . . . so we decided to "divide and conquer". Many chose to hear Paul Washer's session on evangelism, and the room was packed.
Some of us went to hear Dr. Joe Morecraft's message on the Sufficiency of Scripture for Worship.
One of the main sessions - there were 2600 people attending the conference.
Peter Bradrick making announcements
Scott Brown leading a song
Paul Washer preached an incredibly powerful message on the gospel. It would have been worth it to go all the way to the conference just to hear this message. It was the best presentation of the gospel we have ever heard. We praise the Lord for Paul Washer!
Taking notes
One of the theme verses for the week
Another packed breakout session
Paul Washer talking to some of the Pletans before his message...
..."The Sufficiency of Scripture for Family Life".
One of the parking lots...full of large vans. :)
In the network room there were tables organized by states to make it easier to connect with families from your area. Daddy and Mr. Kirk talking with another father.
Darling little Victoria
A couple of young people from the Creation Museum booth made balloon animals for the children...
...who all waited patiently for their balloons.
The last message was from Voddie Baucham.
We are so grateful that we were able to attend this conference!

  1. Hello Smith ladies,

It was wonderful meeting you too! let us know if you come our way, we would love to get together with you again. By the way, I saw a picture on your blog of a little girl named Victoria. Does she belong to the MacDaniel's? I was just curious because we know of a little girl named Victoria MacDaniels who lives in your area. Her family visited our church a while back. Anyway, hopefully we can get to know your family better at some point in time:)

    In Christ,
    Brittany S.
