Celebrating Independence

This year we celebrated the 4th of July at Pickwick Lake with friends from church.
Playing down by the lake - We got to the lake early (about 6:30 p.m.) so we could find a space large enough for all of us to sit together.

The fireworks this year were the best we'd ever seen!
David recorded a short audio clip of the fireworks. Click here to hear it.
I don't think this was supposed to happen!
Right after the fireworks were over there were two explosions. The boys were watching through the binoculars and said that they didn't think anyone was around, so hopefully no one was hurt.
On our way home - the traffic was so bad it took us 25 minutes just to get across the bridge!
We all had a wonderful evening and can't wait to do it again next year!!!
