Our Trip to Texas - The Texas State Fair

We were excited when we found out that our trip to Texas overlapped with the Texas State Fair.  The fair is something we always looked forward to when we lived in Texas, and it was so fun to be able to be there again after 16 years!  We had only 4 hours on the very last day of the fair, but we went fast and crammed a lot into those four hours.

Blue ribbons

I liked this red truck

We saw an amazing "African Acrobats" show

This video Deborah took of the show is well worth watching.  The beginning isn't that impressive, but keep watching it!

The Ferris Wheel

Melissa, David, and Deborah in line to ride the Ferris Wheel.  Can you find them in the picture?  It helps that David is so tall.  :)

Now can you find them here?  (Don't worry - we couldn't either!)

David took this picture looking down from the top.

Looking at some paintings

On our way back to the Beemans', we stopped for dinner at Jack in the Box - something we don't have where we live.
