Ducks and Buzzards

Remember those cute little ducklings we had this spring? This is what they look like now!A few days ago we saw a hawk trying to carry our smallest duck off! We're so happy he did not succeed! Stuart keeps a close eye on them. These buzzards have been swarming over our house for the past few days. We counted over 50 of them!

Raking leaves

Here are some pictures from yesterday.

Every year we put some of the leaves in the chicken yard - the chickens really like that! Hauling leaves to the burn pile Stuart thinks he has to ride with us......but when we get to the fire he will not get out!

We have to get the leaves out around him!The burn pile Some of the trees are bare......but the winter rye in our front yard is quite green!It rained last night and we were disappointed to see this when we got up this morning... :)

The Colors of Fall
