The Lewis Edition: December and Christmas!

Finally, the clearing of our land has begun!

Our home place!
The house will be nestled right in this area.

Now, standing near where our home will be, facing the road

Our pond ... not so little after all the rain!

Beautiful woods

Time for Christmas projects!
A stocking I made for Russell's brother's dog. :)

I had so much fun choosing these wooden shapes for each family member
and "painting" them with essential oils to be used as diffusers!

My Christmas gift for Russell;
the engineer shirt his mother sewed for him
and the spoon his parents had special-made for him. :)
(I plan to add a toddler picture of Russell
when we find one!)

Our tree!

A few of our special ornaments:
Our first Christmas as a married couple!

2nd Christmas:
Texas, since that is where we make our home

3rd Christmas:
Commemorating our trip to the Grand Canyon
this year

An amazingly detailed cookie made by Edible Art
and given to me by friends at Buckner.

We got to take a wonderful, almost 3-week Christmas vacation!

We spent two nights with my family before travelling on to Ohio
to spend several days with Russell's family.
We had a wonderful time there, as always ...
Russell's siblings are so good to us!!
We drove back to Tennessee on Christmas Eve.

Christmas Day!
We look sleepy ... hence the coffee! ;)

Dan and Deb

David and Rachel

We sure missed Steven, Anna, Eva and Hudson,
and Hugh and Ross! (Sadly, Hugh was sick that day.)

Melissa and Mama Flo

Caitlyn with a new baby doll!

Katherine loves her blue donkey!

Caitlyn and Uncle Russell share popcorn

Emily, Rebekah, Sarah and I went over to Mama Flo's one day
to do our traditional baking for the family get-together.
We had so much fun, and so many laughs ... it was
one of those "you had to have been there to understand!"
experiences. :)

A new recipe that will be added to our family favorites -
Peppermint Bark covered Oreos!

Three expectant cousins wait to open their presents
from Mama Flo ...

... and turn to tickling one another when it takes the
adults too long to assemble! :)

Uncle Phil and his 5-month old baby!
Isn't she just the cutest thing?!

"For unto us a child is born,
unto us a Son is given..."
